US-born and now London-based button twiddler, Karen Gwyer, makes “bath house”. Now, I don’t know what that means, but it’s entrancing and atmospheric as shit. “Night Nails” has a booming two minute build-up before the track ushers in lots of tripping drums, which when they come in kinda induces that sense of satisfaction you get when you’ve been coaxing a sneeze out for ages. Now for the visuals, all we’re given is some trippy patterns that makes you feel like you’re stuck in a sexy version of those old Windows screensavers. Like, NOT ALL VIDEOS NEED A STORYLINE, JUST GIVE ME PRETTY PATTERNS, RIGHT?
