Last night the screaming tattooed rage machine that is Gallows played at the Old Blue Last. That venue was the first place I ever saw them play on December 27th, 2006. It wasn’t very Christmassy though, after Frank started hitting some guy in the face (which incidentally seems to have happened yesterday as well) I remember thinking he was just like Rorschach: a short raving ginger beast. Apparently their new songs are really heavy, inspired by Norwegian black metal, which is amazing because the only problem I have with ‘Orchestra of Wolves’ is that it sounded like monks whispering through a velvet muzzle compared to their atomic live show.
