The thing about New Cross is that it’s impossible to
get to on the tube. So it just sits there, alone, quietly being awesome and
churning out some of London’s best new artists and musicians. That’s probably why two of the city’s brightest party
organisers, Adventures in the Beetroot Field and No Pain In Pop,
have decided to stage their latest multi-venue shindig there on September 27. The Nail the Cross festival combines a new music (Micachu,
Ipso Facto and SCUM to name a few) with
interactive art installations from the likes of Adham Faramawy (of
!WOWOW! fame) who, from the looks of the press shot he sent us, is going
to get a lot of people naked and lying on the floor. There’s also going
to be film screenings as well as a belated 15th birthday party for Domino Records.
All for an inflation busting fifteen quid. Now your only problem is finding a way of getting down there.
