OJ checking in. Sunday night we played in Oakland
at Ghost Town Gallery in a supposedly really sketchy part of town, but the crackheads just harmlessly wandered around in zombie holding patterns. There
was a little all-night burger hut across the street we took advantage of. The first band
Snakeflower was pretty good—Matt in that band is from Memphis and he
took that bloody picture of Jay Reatard for his Blood Visions album. Then XBXRX
came on and on the last song Weasel Walter kicked his drum kit, sending
a cymbal flying right into Chris Vice’s face, slashing it open. He went
to the hospital and had to get stitches but he’s OK now.

Gris was the sound dude, until he passed out in the middle of
setting up our mics. And then the PA just died. Things got hectic
for a minute but we sorted things out and just sang through a bunch of
amps. Quintron loves Oakland warehouse parties and showed it by
absolutely killing it again.

There was a punching bag in
case you wanted to let off some steam.

Jello Biafra
was there rockin’ out with us all night and is now a member of the
Golden Triad. We’re just recruiting all the old punks into the posse.
