While we generally try to abstain from ad hoc pseudo-genres, Brooklyn-by-way-of-ATX’s Cool Serbia is boundary-busting—too catchy to be shoegaze, too noisy to be surf rock, we’re going to have to give it to whoever tapped the band as “doom-wop” on this one. The trio self-released their debut today, and the punchy five-track EP is a day at the beach…with whipping winds and overcast skies. Stream the eponymous EP below, or grab it over at Cool Serbia’s Bandcamp.
