This morning it was all looking bleak for Gordon Brown as he considered whether campaigning alongside a man currently under investigation for falsifying an excuse for war, might actually boost his popularity. But now, since the remarkable Conservative own goal of claiming to have stolen the sexual organs of the Queen of Hearts, Labour’s election chances have risen hugely. What were David Cameron’s spin doctors thinking? Bloody madness.
