Before reading the press release for YC The Cynic’s new album GNK, I thought Kickstarter campaigns were something that only worked when supported by megalithic celebrities like Zach Braff. However, having raised $5000 in funds, the Bronx native is set to put out his new LP this summer.
If new track “Molotovs At Posiedon” is anything to go by, it’s the perfect time for it, too, because the whole thing sounds like the sort of throwback dingy NYC rap that wouldn’t be out of place on Telly from KIDS’ Walkman.
