A young alt-rock band from Cambridge, Forest released their first EP last year and have already been extensively blogged about as an exciting new group on the indie scene. Their second EP, Caramel Arms, comes out on October 14th, and we have an exclusive preview of new track “Oh”.
Lead singer Henry Barraclough described the track as “a sulky song – like the sonic equivalent of staring out your window at shit weather and wallowing in self-pity. It’s the last track on our new EP and signals giving up on all that’s hinted at on the record. I feel like it’s a perfect incarnation of my mind at it’s most defeatist”. Despite the melancholy tone, “Oh” is a captivating track, and signals that Forest have already developed their music into something with meaning and depth.
