Brooklyn MC Boss Carrot started rapping at the age of 16, using hip-hop to escape the harsh realities of the hood. Now, at the age of 23, the rapper is dropping his first full length project, Vegetables. To get a taste of what Boss Carrot is cooking up, check out the track “Bastard Simba,” which was produced by JP and Dre of Stoner’s Garden. The track fuses hip-hop and neo-soul elements with its melodic rhythm and sample of Jill Scott’s “A Long Walk.” Enjoy the song and follow @bosscarrot on Twitter.
