For all the irony drenching Bat For Lashes’ latest cover art, it can’t ever detract from my un-ironic desire to be walked around on a dog leash, made to sniff her glove, and generally bestialized and objectified by Natasha Khan. I wouldn’t find it demeaning. Honest. Even on a third album without quite enough big hitting singles to push her back into the front of the kook-tussle she lost with Florence, I still say it’d be an honor to snivel wretchedly in front of her as she spun out another sylvan melody about why love between pixies and humans is bound to fail. Nash, you’ll always be hauntingly haunting to me.
