At 9:30 AM on the first Monday morning after New Year’s Eve, another week (or three) of recovery still seems needed to get that spinning head feeling and behind-the-eyes exhaustion to go away. But responsibility and adulthood still require attendance and begrudging productivity on January 4. Animator and SVA design student Carmel Gatchalian channels the essence of procrastination and laziness into a minute-and-a-half-long video that perfectly summarizes the post-NYE blues, called I’m Busy. Vimeo recently highlighted I’m Busy in their Staff Picks section, and their timing couldn’t be better. “Here I am. Procrastinating by watching a video on procrastination,” writes someone in the comments. And now you are, too.
