Normally I try to avoid straight-up pandering to our advertisers, the understanding being that if you thought reading about streetwear and sneakers was interesting you’d already be on the Fader’s blog.

I’m making an exception in this case because first off, I think Penguin makes good, non-tacky clothes that more people should dress in; second, making model-money without having to go through all the humbling bullshit like “getting headshots” and pretending your “agent” isn’t a college-drop-out who’s ripping you off for everything he can would actually be a sweet deal; and finally, I could use a new polo and I like the way these guys’ cut doesn’t billow out and make my torso look like it’s been attached to marionette legs (S, navy or white if there’s no more light blue).

So anyways, not to piss on a dead horse here, but Penguin’s having a contest for two people to model in their next catalog. Go here for more info, if you want to try to be a model for Penguin.
