Crackdown 3 has been delayed from a November 7 release, the same day Xbox One X is set to launch, into a more ambiguous spring 2018, according to a report from Polygon.
“We’re very excited about Crackdown 3, and so are many fans, and so it’s a difficult call to move the release date,” said Microsoft Studios Publishing general manager Shannon Loftis to Polygon. “However, we want to make sure to deliver the right game, with the right quality, and at the right time. “

Loftis pointed to a desire to get the game’s “balance right” between single-player, co-op, and multiplayer. Additionally, the developers will take “extra time to focus on the visual polish so gamers can feel completely immersed in a living world.”
When I played Crackdown 3 at E3 this year, it was fine. It was more Crackdown, for better and worse. I’m not sure what a delay can do to fundamentally change the game, but here’s hoping they stick the landing. I love me some Crackdown.
