As horrific as his works can be, Ukranian illustrator Daniel Sherekin takes delight in making macabre fantasy creatures. Reminiscent of Damon Hellandbrand’s horrific horoscope, whether it’s a goopy knight that looks like a cracked egg, a multi-ocular take on the xenomorph from Alien, or a human centipede with stitches way more than asshole deep, the drawings he releases under the moniker Borodante aren’t exactly easy on the eyes.

But Sherekin’s goofy streak shines through in his YouTube tutorials, a near-religious tradition he upholds for every single artwork dude—he’s like a body horror Bob Ross. Watching his unabashed love for illustrating, it’s easy to conclude that we’re all a little bit Daniel Sherekin, which is what makes reveling in his nightmare beasts so fun.
