Flappy Bird, a popular smartphone game that got taken down from the App Store, is back in with a new variation called FlapMMO, a massively multiplayer online version of the original where you can play with hundreds of others at the same time.
The game is simple–you press any button on your keyboard to keep a bird-character floating in the air while evading a series of obstacles. This multiplayer iteration lists how many people are playing at once (currently just shy of 700), as well as the top score achieved overall.

FlapMMO turns a popular game that’s typically a solo endeavor, and makes it a community-focused, open-sourced experience that’s possibly more fun than the original. It certainly helps that you get to see hundreds of weird usernames picked by other players. Stay aerial here.
