Today is World Food Day, both a celebration of the  Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO)‘s birthday, and a solemn reminder to that one in nine people don’t get the food necessary to be healthy—the vast majority of whom are in developing nations. The United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals include ending hunger, achieving food security and improved nutrition, and promoting sustainable agriculture by the year 2030.
