Update [March 21, 1:30 PM]: Footage of the incident depicting the few minutes before and the immediate police response afterwards has surfaced here. Furthermore, the Austin American-Statesman has reported that 22 year old Rondarius Spicer has been arrested in connection to the incident. The Killeen, Texas resident has been charged with a misdemeanor weapons charge, and “will likely face” a felony charge for deadly conduct for discharging a deadly weapon, according to the police.

Reports are coming in that a gunman fired shots in downtown Austin during the city’s penultimate night of its annual SXSW festival.
According to USA Today, shots were fired in the early hours of Sunday morning outside the the Old School Bar & Grill where the Austin rock band Hour Band was performing a free show. The gunfire sent the crowd fleeing the area around the venue. The gunman has been apprehended and no injuries have been reported.
