One first blush, this goal didn’t seem that impressive, but maybe that’s just because Harry Kane looked so smooth doing it. Nacer Chadli had the ball in traffic, but got it to Kane just outside the penalty area. Kane stopped the ball with his first touch, gave himself some space with a little heel touch to his right, and then nutmegged Crystal Palace defender Martin Kelly with a shot that just tucked inside the post. It had a very fluidly mechanical feel to it: the first touch (tic), the heel (tac), and the strike (toe).
Palace have equalized on a penalty from Dwight Gayle in the 69th minute.

UPDATE: Of course, seconds after publishing, Crystal Palace took the lead thanks to a powerful and slashing run from Wilfried Zaha that ended with Jason Puncheon hitting it in for what would be the game-winner.
