Are you obsessed with the future, and maybe a little unnerved by it? Are you Canadian? If you just said yes twice—and also have a proven track record editing and reporting on the tech and science world—Motherboard wants you to be our Canadian editor.

While tech and science are global topics, being our Canadian ambassador means also tackling local coverage. We expect you’ll be well-versed in issues surrounding the tar sands, follow the Arctic ownership bid, shaking your digital fists at the CSEC, and know about Paul Hellyer’s UFO theories, along with a bunch of other wild Canadian things we’ve not heard about yet.

You’ll be based at VICE Canada’s headquarters in Toronto, and will work directly with the global Motherboard team, which now includes staff in the US, UK, Germany, the Netherlands, and Italy. We’re looking for someone with good online experience and who’s a motivated, independent worker skilled at finding talented writers and solid stories. (The ideal candidate is also someone who’s smart, fun, and totally bitchin’, but that should go without saying.)
