Not that sort of droning–no double-tap strikes, here. No signature strikes. I’m talking about leading-edge natural resource management and power inspection. When it comes to these civil UAV applications, Iceland is apprently killing it. It’s part and parcel of Nordic dominance over small-fry UAV, moose and beyond.
Over the past few days, YouTube user Sverrier Karl has been upping some downright stunning FPV video of his dronings across the island. Take a pass over the Hellisheiðarvirkjun hydroplant, seen above. Or this one over Nesjavallavirkjun, another hydroplant:
