Listen to Pony Boy’s “One Man Show”

Pony Boy shot by Elaine Reid.

Wouldn’t it be amazing if Ponyboy from The Outsiders was a real person who grew up and at 19 started a kick ass rock band. Imagine the girls swooning for him in his leathers and Converse in the front row. LA-originated, Nashville-located singer Pony Boy is not this fantasy, but rather, Marchelle Bradanini, a trained mezzo soprano who wraps her dusky tones around melodies that are slinky, and in the case of this song premiering below, Americana-tinged. She’s as adept as Cat Power at sounding winningly intimate and just the right shade of downcast.

The Devil In Me EP drops 3.4.
