Relevant information about SZA that we just got from this excellent Village Voice profile of her: She’s 23, lives in New York, sings with the conviction of an old soul who lives in the year 2048, was raised Orthodox Muslim, lived a terrifically sheltered childhood, attended an Ivy League school, and has worked as a bartender at a strip club.
