
It began, like all memorable events, with a bang. Something was stirring in his kitchen.
It was the middle of the night on Wednesday when a resident of Rockland, Massachusetts, discovered that an inebriated senior citizen had broken into his house and was cooking corn on his stove. The startled homeowner told the intruder—69-year-old John Dalton—to leave, and a mild scuffle ensued.

According to The Enterprise of Brockton, Dalton was charged with breaking and entering, but it’s unknown whether he was able to have one last taste of summer’s bounty before he was hauled off to the drunk tank.
