Watch This Century-Old Norwegian Time Capsule Reveal Right Now

UPDATE: Well, that was certainly awkward.

It was given to the administration of Sel, Norway, in 1912, on one condition: Can be opened in 2012. The package was delivered by a fellow named Johan Nygaard. It clocks in at just over 3 kilos, and is 40 cm wide, 28 cm deep and 9 cm thick. Nobody knows what the hell it bears.

But we’ll know soon enough, for better or worse. The capsule is being opened right now. Check out the live feed, direct from Gudbrandsdal Museum, right here.
