Some cheesy lyrics aside, Birmingham band Peace have nailed the slushy, indie love song. “California Daze” is all sugary melodies, echoing guitar plucks and “JUST HOLD ME AND EVERYTHING WILL BE OK” sentiment. So it kind of makes sense why they first chose to debut this during Latitude festival, presumably while everyone one was in the midst of run-out-of-wet-wipes emotional fragility.
