The earliest pizzerias in New York were an unintentional byproduct of Italian immigrants who came to America in search of new opportunities. Now, over 100 years later, that opportunity is pizza. In the early 2000s, Roberto Caporuscio immigrated from Italy and opened Kesté Pizza & Vino in Greenwich Village. He has dedicated his life to preserving the traditions of Neapolitan pizza.
