What is the mysterious online entity popcorn_10?
“popcorn_10 is about having fun and making animated music,” clarifies the cheeky mind behind the project. That’s all I get, but it’s all you really need to appreciate “Dennis,” the latest song and video on “hypermedia label” NHX.

The imprint’s first release was PC Music-affiliate Maxo’s Chordslayer EP last month. Like his label mate, popcorn_10 heaps cascades of high-fructose elec-twee-nica taffy over muscular percussion. It sounds like a Second Life iteration of Joker—playful, without pulling any punches in the low-end.
The song’s video chronicles a fleet of colored blocks bouncing around a 3D environment created by design studio Always and Forever. They snap together with matching blocks in a sea of synesthetic color patterns.

“With each frame created in real time with code, the captivating, geometrically abstract experience features an interactive camera and generates a new video for you to explore every time you press play,” explains the studio.
Stream the clip on a unique website—dennis.video—and stay tuned for more exciting audiovisual drops from NHX.
