Self-describing your latest track as a “Banger” – which seems to be what Bad Sounds have done – is a brave move. As we’ve already investigated on Noisey.com, a banger is basically “that feeling when you’re with your partner doing sex and right before you climax the serotonin rushes directly to your brain and momentarily engulfs your thought process”, but for sounds. So as the track starts, in all honesty, Bad Sounds’ “Banger” doesn’t quite encapsulate that feeling. It sounds good, for sure – it’s groovy, instantaneous, all things beautiful. But that celebratory, ejaculatory moment that defines a banger comes much later when the chorus hits – which is a good thing TBH because you don’t want to go straight for the end game in the first thirty seconds.
Check out the video for the track below which features, for reasons unknown to us and maybe them, the band playing their instruments while walk/driving through a forest.
