Apparently, Vancuver’s Mode Moderne’s first LP—2009’s Ghosts Emerging—inspired a fan in Serbia to get a tattoo of some lyrics and take a photo of it and send it to the band. Which, yeah, that’s a little bit strange, sure, but it speaks to the grabbing nature of these dudes. On January 21 (that’s 2014, by the way), the band will release its follow-up Occult Delight. We’re not sure if the record will inspire tattoos, but we’re happy to premiere their first single, “She, Untamed,” a bouncy track that features Phillip Intilé’s Nick Cave-esque vocals at their most charming.
