New York-born rapper Destiny Frasqueri, better known by her stage name Princess Nokia, has shared a new video for “Kitana,” the A-Trak and Lex Luger-produced track off her most recent mixtape, 1992.
The 24-year-old Harlem native’s unabashedly impudent yet cheeky attitude comes to light in her self-directed video for “Kitana.” Taking over the neighborhood’s basketball court, Frasqueri dons pink boxing gloves for her own match, surrounded by a circle of her friends. She spits blood and delivers verses with a kind of grit and unprecedented confidence, as she proclaims her self-love and a lyrical middle finger to her haters. Watch it above.
