However, Skygreen Leopards manage to combine the emotional break-up flow with positive vibes in their newest sunshine-infused single “My Friends.” The psych folk-rock team from California meshes their newest track title into a catchy chorus, combining all of the lyrical elements of breaking up with warm, upbeat riffs and heartbeat-thumping drums. If you’re feeling rundown and jaded, “My Friends” is a nice pick-me-up to get you back on that summer swag. Their upcoming album Family Crimes is out July 8 via Woodsist (a label we’ve come to love and trust), and will be great for sipping mojitos while chilling on the white sand.
