Spoek Mathambo is a busy man. In addition to releasing music, the South African DJ and producer also directed the documentary Future Sound of Mzansi, which premiered on Thump. Now Mathambo has a new project up his sleeve.

Batuk is comprised of Mathambo, producer and DJ Aero Manyelo, performance artist Carla Fonseca, and singer and producer Nandi Ndlovu. The group recently dropped a single from their forthcoming EP, “Daniel,” a slow, gritty groove of household percussion and a hypnotic looping chorus.
