You know how anyone from Bristol or anyone remotely connected to the Bristol music scene, will wax lyrical about ‘trip-hop’ and how “Massive Attack defined a generation” etc? Well, I love that era as much as the next muso, but I’m also aware that, like, there have been changes to the musical ladscape in the last, oh I dunno, decade.

Thank god then, that the ~new school~ Bristolians have formed this loose collective, Sure Thing, featuring the likes of jungle’s DJ Die, Joker on keyboard, house DJs Futureboogie’s Christophé, among others. The final product? A funk-filled synth track, with lots of glittery disco, bass-warps and a great video that’s more 80s than hating Thatcher and panicking about AIDS.
