God bless The Thermals. They can essentially make the same record over and over and it never gets old. That’s not a knock at the trio, it’s an incredible difficult thing to pull off. They are able to continually slightly reinvent themselves on each release through new hooks and tricks in their power pop arsenal while still maintaining the same sound they had from day one. It’s like running into an old friend every few years and they keep getting better looking.

Here they are with “Hey You,” the first song from We Disappear, their follow-up to 2013’s Desperate Ground. We Disappear is out via Saddle Creek on March 25.
