Starting off with a kind of Sin City aesthetic, this experimental short called Waking From A Coma uses only one color, red, to stun the viewer into submission. Using various forms and animation techniques, London-based artist Jesse Kanda, who wrote the film’s soundtrack as well as doing all the animating and directing, created a visually impactful and stunning piece of filmmaking that beguiles and disorientates in equal measure.
