It’s still a bit frostier than we’d like outside, but Coyu is bringing the heat. Next week, his Barcelona-based Suara label will unleash a fresh batch of bangers from Brazilian duo Sonic Future (aka Cesar Funck and VJ Leo) in the form of an EP titled Chameleon Soul. The lead track, “L.O.V.E.,” starts with a meaty kick drum with razor-sharp hi-hats, and over the course of a filter sweep or two, it builds into a dark anthem with flickering chords, throbbing bubbles of bass, and a screwed-down vocal. The Chameleon Soul EP will be available exclusively on Beatport starting March 31; an international release will follow two weeks later.
