As a NYCer, I come across so many goddamn street “musicians” during the day. How many ways can a steampunk idiot on ukelele cover Neutral Milk Hotel? The answer is a resounding fuck you. But when it comes to street performance, I’ll give The Growlers a pass. They don’t have a hat out begging for change, and instead are smoking cigarettes and dancing with girls on the street while running through three songs on the Lower East Side.
