The Magic Gang live in Brighton – the only place in Britain where I’ve witnessed a man lassoo a baby-puppy around his head using a scarf. This was at The Great Escape – the coast’s answer to SXSW but with more rain – where a bunch of bands played, including The Magic Gang who apparently played at a house party. They filmed the above video for “She Won’t Ghost” at the house party and we were probably there – we also went to a house party at The Great Escape. Except we can’t remember if we saw The Magic Gang or not because the room was so hot we couldn’t breathe and had to sit down on a sofa for about fifteen minutes.
